Operations Executive

OperationsMumbai, IndiaFull-time

About the Role

As an Operations Executive at IQWorks, you will own the day-to-day IT and business operations that keep the company running. You will administer our SaaS applications and the user access that sits on them, manage the full lifecycle of laptops and other IT assets, run procurement and vendor relationships, and support employees from their first day to their last. This is a hands-on role with real ownership: you will take a requirement from the first request through to closure instead of routing it onwards, and you will build the SOPs, registers, and records that make the second time easier than the first. You will also be the first line on everyday IT and connectivity problems, with the judgment to escalate the ones that need a vendor or an engineer. Because we build data protection software, access control, asset custody, and clean offboarding are held to the standard we ask of our own customers, and you will be trusted with them. We support hybrid working and flexible hours, and we look for people who bring the consistency and responsiveness that high-ownership work depends on. This role is based in Mumbai.

What You Will Do

  • Run day-to-day operations for the team, resolving requests quickly and keeping routine things from turning into interruptions
  • Administer the SaaS estate end to end: accounts, groups, licenses, and access, with joiners, movers, and leavers reflected the same day
  • Own software procurement, renewals, and cancellations, tracking spend and cutting what is no longer used
  • Manage the IT asset lifecycle across procurement, allocation, maintenance, warranty, and recovery on exit, with an inventory that stays accurate on any given day
  • Run vendor relationships end to end: quotations, negotiation, invoices, and service escalations, holding cost down without giving up quality
  • Own employee onboarding and offboarding on the operations side, so a new joiner is productive on day one and every access path is revoked on exit
  • Provide first-line IT troubleshooting across devices, connectivity, Wi-Fi, VPN, and DNS, escalating to vendors or engineering with the context they need
  • Support least-privilege access reviews, MFA enrolment, and endpoint hygiene as everyday practice, and escalate anything that looks like a security issue
  • Write and maintain the SOPs and records behind all of this: asset registers, access records, subscription inventories, and process documentation

What We Are Looking For

  • 2 to 5 years in IT operations, business operations, or administration, with hands-on ownership rather than coordination alone
  • A degree in IT, business administration, operations, computer applications, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience administering SaaS applications and user access: provisioning, licenses, groups, and deprovisioning
  • Experience managing IT assets end to end, keeping an inventory that stays accurate under pressure
  • Experience running procurement and vendor coordination, including quotations, invoices, renewals, and service escalations
  • Good working knowledge of Google Workspace and common business applications
  • Ability to troubleshoot everyday IT problems yourself, with sound judgment about when to escalate instead of persisting
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and written communication skills, with accurate records kept as a matter of habit
  • Effective use of AI as a force multiplier across the operations workflow: request triage, vendor and procurement research, documentation, and reporting, with sharp judgment about where human oversight is essential so access, spend, and security decisions are never compromised
  • Based in Mumbai, able to work independently and prioritize across competing requests in a fast-paced startup environment

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of networking and network security
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, and basic network troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity fundamentals, MFA, identity and access management, and endpoint security
  • Experience with IT helpdesk or ticketing systems
  • Exposure to least-privilege access models and periodic access reviews
  • Experience supporting a compliance and certification program such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001 from the operations side
  • Prior experience as an early operations hire at a high-growth startup
