Account Executive

About the Role

As an Account Executive at IQWorks, you will drive revenue by owning the end-to-end sales cycle for our data protection platform. You will prospect and qualify enterprise leads, run discovery and demos, navigate procurement and security reviews, and close deals across industries including finance, healthcare, and e-commerce. We expect you to lean on AI heavily to do the work that has traditionally been manual — research, account mapping, outreach, call prep, and follow-ups — while applying sharp judgment about where the human touch matters most, so relationships and deal quality are never compromised. You will work closely with founders, marketing, and product to turn interest into long-term customer relationships. This is a high-ownership role for someone who thrives on building pipeline and closing in a fast-moving startup.

What You Will Do

  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through negotiation and close
  • Build and manage a pipeline of enterprise accounts across target industries and regions
  • Run discovery calls and product demonstrations that connect IQWorks capabilities to customer compliance needs
  • Navigate enterprise procurement, security reviews, and multi-stakeholder buying processes
  • Partner with marketing to convert inbound demand and run targeted outbound campaigns
  • Collaborate with product and engineering to scope deployments and ensure a smooth handoff after close
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline hygiene in the CRM
  • Feed market and prospect insights back to product and leadership to sharpen positioning

What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience, ideally selling to enterprise or mid-market accounts
  • Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding quota
  • Experience owning the full sales cycle, including outbound prospecting and closing
  • Fluency with AI tools as a force multiplier — using them to automate research, outreach, and reporting that used to be done by hand, with a strong sense of when human judgment should lead so quality is never compromised
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills — you can sell to both technical and business buyers
  • Comfort selling a technical product and explaining its value to compliance, security, and IT stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills and discipline with CRM and pipeline management
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling data privacy, security, compliance, or governance software
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations (DPDPA, GDPR, HIPAA, or similar)
  • An established network of enterprise buyers in India or the Middle East
  • Prior experience as an early sales hire at an early-stage startup
